The Top 10 performers for Season 7 of American Idol brought us some upsets as well as some pleasant surprises. The past two weeks have consisted of Beatles songs, and while no one compares to The Beatles, the Top 10 songs brought refreshing change to the show. Each week on American Idol brings with it a theme, and the Top 10 theme for Season 7 was "The Year You Were Born'. Each of the 10 contestants gave us a glimpse into their childhood, gave us some memorable family moments and gave us a song from the year they were born.

Contestant Brooke White, born in 1983 sang the Police classic 'Every Breath You Take'. After deviating from her piano last week, Top 10 week found Brooke back behind the keys. After a shaky start (she started singing off-key and chose to re-start the song with the right notes) Brooke gave America another solid performance.
